Yama-Con Anime & Comic Convention 2021 COVID-19 Policy
- Mask/Face coverings is not required to be worn indoors however STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to be worn indoors by all attendees to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Sevierville County Tennessee and the State of Tennessee have ended the indoor mask policy. (with the exception of the 6 Tennessee country health departments that may enact their own local guidelines)
In that regard, Sevierville County has ended their indoor mask mandate and so the City of Pigeon Forge does not require masks to be worn inside. The Pigeon Forge LeConte Center (where Yama-Con is held) is a city-owned building and does not require their employees to wear masks/face coverings to be worn and it is up to each individual to wear a mask/face covering inside.
While Yama-Con 2021 is a private admission event; we as an event organizer cannot force the staff of the LeConte Center to wear a mask/face covering. It is with our decision that the official Yama-Con 2021 COVID-19 policy is that masks/face coverings are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to be worn by all attendees; however, not required to be worn indoors.
*Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit.
The CDC advises that some people are more likely than others to become severely ill, and some people are at a higher risk of exposure to COVID-19. Guests should evaluate their own risk in determining whether to attend. People who show no symptoms can spread COVID-19 if they are infected, and any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19. By coming to the event, you acknowledge and agree that you assume these inherent risks associated with attendance.
